Pakistan on Thursday strongly condemned the heinous acts of terrorism, which claimed at least 57 lives in bomb blasts at three hotels in Jordanian capital Amman. A foreign office statement sharply condemning the attack said that Pakistani leaders had conveyed their deep sense of sorrow at the loss of lives.

President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz in their condolence messages to the Jordanian leaders expressed their resolve to stand in solidarity with the people of Jordan at these trying moments and reiterated their commitment to continue the fight against terrorism.

According to the Pakistan Mission in Amman, there were no reports of any Pakistani national being harmed at the three blast sites in Amman.
